Leo's First Nature's Express
Dec. 30th, 2008 11:53 amMonday - Ken wasn't feeling well, but headed out to work early, so I cleaned up the house for a while before Leo got up. We had to return his trailer, then get the car washed, and then I wanted to take him to lunch at Nature's Express. The trailer return was a huge ordeal. The first place we took it wouldn't take it, and the second place wanted us to go around back, which meant backing up with the trailer onto a busy road. They were supposed to send someone out to help, but after about a half hour, we got tired of waiting and Leo just did it himself. Pulling around back, they still took forever. My throat and teeth were seriously bothering me, so I went over to Wendy's for a glass of water. There was an adorable gent in front of me, who became a little less adorable when he pulled out his letter from the Yes on 8 campaign. I should have thanked him for voting yes, as 8 has been called my generation's "Stonewall", and really brought the community out like it hasn't been in years, but I didn't. Leo was just finishing up when I got back, and then we headed over to Uptown Carwash - they send out coupons all the time, but we apparently didn't have one. Bah. They were pretty busy, but it took a surprisingly short time. Took Leo to Green, where I insisted on paying, but I was rewarded by him loving the food. Awesome. Poor Ken was very ill, so he'd come home early, napped, and then made a stew. He was on the couch in his jammies when we got there. Poor guy. Pretty much did nothing for the rest of the day. I got kind of restless later, and looked up what was going on in town. Ken asked if I was going to go out and party without him...I refrained from snark, and just said that has never been me. I hated to give up my evening, but I was rewarded with sex later! Yay sex!
