Catching Up With Jason
Dec. 24th, 2008 06:32 pmTuesday – Got up when Ken did, and just played video games until around 9, when I called Jason. I figured he'd be asleep, but I started to worry when he didn't call me back by 10:30. Called his other number, which still woke him up, and he agreed to meet me around 12:30. He called back later to mention that he didn't have a car, so I drove up there, then us back to Nature's Express. I meant to just get a Chick'n Chipotle sammich, but they had some interesting things on the buffet, so I opted for that instead. One of the things they offered was a tomato stuffed with some kind of raw “pate”, and god bless the stupid girl up front, but she needed to ask her supervisor if she should charge me for the over 2” rule, since the tomatoes were over 2”. *sigh*. Talking with Jason, I guess he's being stalked by some crazy Chinese girl at his school, but got a 3.8 GPA, so he's doing quite well. It was nice to be able to say that everything was going swimmingly with Ken. We finished eating, then I took him back to our condo, since he hadn't seen it, and he had a couple drinks, and we watched some things on youtube. He seemed content to just sit, and I suddenly remembered his penchant for hanging around too long. Ken wanted to go pick up winter clothes after work, and I had been going to try to get to the APRL after Jason, so I just suggested that he come with instead. Couldn't find any hats or gloves or the like, but I did find some decent dress clothes, and a new pair of jeans. Two pairs of pants and three shirts for $15. Took Jason home, where he gave me a couple more shirts he never wears any more, and then headed home. I was late getting there, and very worried about the crowds where ever we went, but we headed down to Sear's Essentials anyway. They were surprisingly empty, both of customers and what we were looking for...I guess it's not so surprising given those two in conjunction. Went over to the much busier Ross, where we also found nothing, and finally gave in and headed over to Target. After much searching, he found a basic black hat and glove set for him, and a FABULOUS pair of gloves for me, which were actually more expensive than his two put together. Headed home after that, with a brief stop at Taco Bell for him, and I made myself some more pasta.
