Nikki's Wedding

Monday – Ken headed out to work in the morning, and I putzed about at home for a little while before heading down to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick up Nikki's wedding present. The gift was 49.99, and we had a $50 gift card, but there was tax. Fortunately, we also had a 20% off coupon, so I was able to pick up toothpaste, mouthwash, and deoderant, all of which we were almost out of. They offer giftwrapping there, and the lady told me to give her 10 min, so I walked around a little, then waited there, and waited there, and waited there. John called, and so did Ken. People kept asking me if I needed help with anything, and I kept telling them I was just waiting for my gift to be wrapped. Finally, almost an hour later, one lady went back and checked, and found my gift just sitting there. Grrr....Got home with not a second to spare, changed clothes, and headed over to Balboa Park. We couldn't find parking, so I sent Ken in with the gift and roses, and I parked. The ceremony was late getting started, but very brief, and it was very sweet to watch Nikki tear up. The reception was lovely, and I didn't drink any at first, but had a couple, and a couple more, and a couple more....at one point I suddenly realized that I very badly needed to pee, and could NOT find a bathroom. Ran around and around and around, and finally ended up pissing on the side of a building. Unfortunately, some of it had already gottten onto my pants and I wasn't about to be THAT guy, so I had to wait for them to dry. Ken called to find out where I was, and I only vaguely remember talking to him, and really nothing after that. I guess I disappeared again, and got all snarky again, and he went home without me. Nikki's co-workers were nice enough to drop me off at home, where I promptly passed out. Woke up much later, and apologized to Ken, who had written me a drunken lecturing e-mail. Ken had already eaten (Burger King), so I made myself some pasta and vegetables. Travis came over later, and showed us some HI-LARIOUS 80's videos called “Welcome To My Home” and “The Eyes Have It” before heading back up to LA.
