Oh, How Terribly Exciting!
Nov. 14th, 2006 03:49 pmSuddenly giddy with the thought of The Boy coming home tonight. I’ve missed him more on this trip than on any previous trip that he’s taken. Not really sure what’s up with that. I want to get him/make him something, but I don’t know what. Everything that springs to mind is bad for him (Cake? Cookies? A cake with a cookie center, wrapped in bacon?), and knowing his fitness goals, I don’t want to counteract them. I need to figure out ways of expressing my affection that don’t involve food. Oh, and can be legally expressed in the middle of an airport terminal. ;)
Also extremely excited about pseudo-teaching dance class tonight. Tonight will probably just be me, Jason, and a friend of a friend named Bonnie, but that suits me fine. Mostly, I’m excited about the potential I see for the class; what the class can do for the studio, and for the students taking it. I don’t think I’m the best one to teach it, but I’ll do for now. I am thrilled that for once, I see a need for something, and I’m in a position fill that need.
Folks have been telling me for a bit now that I seem to be losing weight, and now I'm beginning to see it. This is tricky, because every time I start to see results, I tend to quit. I did it (the) last (twelve)time(s) I started getting in shape, I did it when I wanted to clean the tub, and I DON'T want to do it again. This is also my cue to start looking for laser hair removal. At the rate I save money, it should only take me a month or two (Merry Christmas to me!) to save up for the "Pool Hall Special", as Marcus called it. The stuff I got prior seems to have been less than permanent, so I'm going to look for something with a good guarantee.
I've got some interesting job possibilities lined up, and I'll be a very happy camper if one of them comes out right.
That's all I got for now.

Date: 2006-11-15 07:28 pm (UTC)I'd like it to also be a feeder into the classes taught by Katie and Kevin, where we could review across the floors and combinations from those classes, but that depends on how K&K feel about me going over their choreography.
It's still waiting on approval from Kevin P. on having it be an actual, scheduled class, so until it is, it's just me using the room, and helping out whoever shows up.
I think it would be a popular class, drawing people both to the studio, and to the other classes, and since I wouldn't be being paid, it could only benefit the studio.
