Monday - Woke up surprisingly fine around 2:30, though a little confused as to how I got to wearing Ken's boxers. Drank a bunch of water, Emergen-C, etc. cleaned up my vomit. The usual. Since I didn't remember going to bed, I didn't remember if I was in trouble. Ken was non-commital, just kissed me good-bye and went on his way. There was more tree trimming, so a lack of spots, but I found one on First and Ivy, and got to school with plenty of time. Felt downright good to be able to turn in my assignments on time for Legal Skills. Didn't understand anything else that went on in class, but I felt good about that. There was a meeting discussing amelioration efforts...I was surprised how good I felt that my school is standing behind me on this, even though I couldn't join the military now anyway. I was also surprised at the number of students (3) that disagreed with it, and wanted "another view point" to be expressed....like the school should have gone out of it's way to find people that agreed with DADT. I had meant to do some more in depth reading for Crim Law, but on the way out, mah gurl Kate-Robin was about to throw down with the three dissenters. I joined in, way more mediating than I maybe should have been, and several of us stood discussing basically nothing for the remainder of the break. I thought about leaving several times, but having been denied my discussion with a "Yes On Prop 8"er, I was bound and determined to engage one of these folks in conversation. I finally cornered her, and it basically boiled down to she likes the military, and doesn't want it criticized, for any reason ever. Criminal Law was fine, though we didn't actually get to any of the cases we were supposed to talk about.
Driving home, I took First, since I was already there. Couldn't help but think about an unknown house I must've passed, "Hillcrest, down a few blocks from Mo's." Naturally, that didn't put me in a great mood, and even less of a stellar mood when I got home to Ken too tired to think of anything he wanted for dinner. He mentioned he was hungry, and just couldn't summon the energy to go to the store. Fed up, I just went to the store my damn self and bought a couple of bags of frozen veggies. He made rice and veggies with tofu...it was okay. The rice was good and fluffy, which is better than I can ever do. I was surprised at how not tired I was - usually, it's all I can do to not come home and die, but I actually managed to get some studying done. Did that for the rest of the night. No sex, and no snuggling on account of the heat. Bah.
