Sunday - Woke up early, of course, since I'd been drinking the night before. When first questioned, Ken said there was no reason he got distant the night before, and mentioned that he only started out by barely tapping me, and snuggled closer later. Also told me that I kept saying "thank you", but would just mumble nonsensically when pressed for why before repeating "thank you". Eventually, he made mention that he wished I hadn't gotten so drunk, just on principle, and he was disappointed in Matt for flirting with me in front of his mother. We laid in bed talking for a while after that, and he convinced me to not attend City Fest, on account of all the walking I'd done on my ankle the day before. I reluctantly agreed, but still went to brunch with everyone. Brandon and Chris were sorting out their drama from the night before, so it was just Ken, the mum, me, Jay, Nelson, Dr. Mark, and Nelson's niece and brother-in-law. I didn't eat anything, but did enjoy the company. I thought about hooking up while I was home, but didn't end up popping on, as I thought it might ruin the day. Poked about online, updated my LJ, worked out, etc. Ken called and mentioned that he and his mum were at Fashion, and would be there for about another 30 min before coming home, then called later and mentioned they were going to Betty's, and would I like to join them. I did, and didn't eat too many chips while there. Neither of them was really hungry, and just shared a sampler platter and had a drink each. We went shopping for groceries after that, since his mum was making a coincidentally vegan pasta dish with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, garlic, onion and lemon juice for dinner. My papa called on the home phone as soon as we got in, so I talked to him while Ken and his mum made dinner. My papa just talked about how proud he was that I was going to law school, and that if things worked out with the investment company, he could help with student loans, etc. I told him that, while I appreciated the sentiment, and that it would no doubt make life much easier if things came through, that my life at present was such that I really had no need of it. I'm making my own way, and while I have no money now, I am, in the long run, in no need of such a windfall. This only made him prouder, which is fine, and then it was time for dinner. The pasta was fantastic, Ken cooked the tofu, which was also lovely, and then we played Life and Phase 10.
Life had some hilarious parallels to real life - Ken got the "doctor" job on his first spin, always won when playing the stock market, and was generally golden and lucky. I didn't fair so well luck wise. Phase 10 was a fun card game - I came very close to winning, though Ken took it again. We had some ice cream, and both Ken and I had a drink, but we went to bed at a seemly hour. I was pretty randy, and could probably have been ready if I'd take the time....Ken was too, in his sleep. He actually grabbed my hand and put it on his dick, but didn't wake up enough to press things. In spite of missing City Fest, I had a good day.
