Monday - Spent most of the morning drinking water, walking around, and trying unsuccessfully to sleep. I called Aetna, who said that my application was fine, and if they needed anything else they'd let me know. Whew! Finally managed to sleep on and off until about 10:30. The boys stayed laying in bed for a while, and I putzed about online. Todd had to leave by noon, so he got his stuff together and headed out. Anthony's friend was also leaving, and about to catch a cab when we were getting ready to meet Leo at Mo's, so we gave her a ride to the airport. Ken had a burger at Mo's, but I wasn't hungry, and was saving myself for JFD, anyway. We spent some time there, then the boys agreed to meet up later for The Dark Knight, and we headed home. Got a rather disturbing e-mail from e-healthinsurance, telling me my application had been declined, but figured they'd been wrong before about stuff, so they might be wrong about this, too. Called Aetna again, but this time the guy told me I'd been declined for being HIV positive. That's never a nice thing to hear, but was especially not nice since the lady that morning had told me everything was fine. That was even worse considering that it's one of the questions they ask on the application, and this could have saved me two months of waiting. I'd developed a headache over lunch, and laid down with Ken for a little while. This helped, and I was tempted to stay longer, but didn't want to face traffic on the way up to JFD. Got there and had some fantastic jam and cracker with Anna, as well as some pickles, but stopped in time. More people started showing up, and I was able to help make some of the stuff. All in all, we had a great time. The food was FANTASTIC! Even the avocado thing I made wasn't bad, though it needed to be sweeter. Nicole almost got snatched up by her ratty hair (who am I kidding, even drunk and ignorant, her hair is radiant!), at one point, but it was pretty much drama free, other than that. Did a bunch of catching up with Anthony, and though I got a little disappointed when I found out that he left A4A for a little while after he found out about me, it was all good stuff. I felt terrible: Chris had made Cap'n Crunch Crusted Chicken, as well as a vegetarian version, and a vegan version...except that the V-Versions were both made with Quorn "chicken", which is not vegan. Ken called about 10-ish, and I headed home a little before 11, but didn't make it into bed until just after midnight. Good times.
