A Cozy Day
May. 8th, 2008 08:07 pmWednesday - 5/7/08 - Ken is going into work a half hour early, which means that I am, too, since I don't see the point of getting up and doing nothing for an extra half-hour. Unfortunately, we're not busy enough at work to justify OT, so I just work the extra half hour. At least traffic is even less of an issue then. With work being so slowish, I usually end up lethargic, but made up my mind to stay busy, and I did. I was tired by the end of the day, but at least it flew by and I had something to show for it. Ken also stayed late, so I went to Ralph's and did the last of my shopping for the PPK swap. Now I just need to send the stuff. Our laundry has mysteriously tripled in size (it all got done a week ago), so I went ahead and started a load. Ken called when I got back, and mentioned something about a salad for dinner....ever the loving boyfriend, I trekked over to Henry's for (no longer on sale) salad fixin's, then swapped the laundry out. Ken got home while I was swapping, and we talked about our respective days. I guess I was a touch cranky, because he kept telling me to be nice to him. He made a salad for him (I'm giving up honey), and then one of the TJ's meals I bought for the swap. I tried Tings for the first time, and they weren't as addiction-inducing as I'd thought they'd be. I still ate about half of them, of course, simply because they were there, but I was smart and threw the other half away. Once dinner and laundry and the like were done, we settled down to watch the news. That segued into Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, which Ken had never seen before. The TV could have shown paint drying and I wouldn't have moved from the couch. I pretty much just purred on Ken's lap the whole night, and stuff went on around me. I'm okay with that. Laying down, the Indian food kept me from snuggling too close, but we still hooked ankles. :-D
