Since we went to bed so late, I was shocked that I was still able to take care of the kids in the morning, and possibly more shocked that Julian was able to function. It was a little weird that he insisted I stay up because he had to work. Not fair that I should get to go back to sleep on my day off? Whatever happened last night with his bank finally went through, although he still said he was missing 1k. Couldn't point to where or how, but it's fine. He'd mentioned initially that he wanted an actual, physical bank he could go to for any issues, so if this gets it done, I'm happy with that. I got his $100 and we went over on his lunch break. I was still pretty exhausted, but at first he said CCCU needed me to be there to open an account. When I pointed out that they don't, he admitted he just wanted me there. That's more convincing. He was still in ChexSystems over the money from BofA, even though he paid it back in July. Hopped over to BofA but they were no help, then back home and he found the receipt and promise that they'd remove the mark within a month. Fucking BofA. Not that I'm much better, since I'm still with Chase. I'm obviously way overdue to change, I'm just not sure where to go. I technically have an account with the environmental bank, Aspiration, though I don't think I'll be keeping it. There's an LGBT bank coming up, maybe I'll take this as a sign to hop over. We got his account opened, I opened up when the account manager helping him, Wendy, started talking about her divorce and kids. Mostly just giving her that stellar advice about making holidays your own. She tapped me later as we were waiting for a regular teller to thank me.

Jen messaged me about the Reunion to confirm I'd be there. Not to detract from my value, but both of us were having cold feet because we really didn't know that many people in school. Of course, with social media, most of us are already in contact with everyone we care to remember anyway. I also had no idea what to wear. The invite didn't give any clues, though I guess most folks from Phyllis' reunion dressed business casual. I was going to wear my Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes shirt, but it's seen better days. I might remake it. All it really needs is the heavy eyeliner clipart, and it's not like making my own is going to deprive them of income at this point. But for tonight, Catwoman. I brought weed with me so I could smoke with Julian, and so I wouldn't get irritated when he got drunk. Julian asked me to put fuel in the car "for once," and while I did, we also had another talk about manipulation attempts. It's disgusting and the last thing I need is an adversarial husband. We found the place alright, though they apparently put us in one area and a birthday party next door. I'm honestly not sure why they kept harping on potential overselling, as there were maybe 50-75 people there, maybe even less. I found Jen and Andi, waved Cassie over to us, but that was about it for folks I knew. Joe was there, which was a little odd. He never went to Serra, though he knew a bunch of folks from there and went to school with many prior. Last I saw him he was drunkenly stumbling around with a Burger King crown on his head. I imagine that means he had fun? I did see a few people I recognized, though names were much harder to come by. They put name tags on a table, and it was then I learned that Julian prefers to go by his last name for strangers. Apparently his coworkers call him Julian, but refer to him as Ross in front of customers. I saw the In Memoriam board and was really surprised by some of the names. Ray Cordova died - he was a dick to me - as did one of the drummers from band. I knew Randy Rosacker died, and there were a couple names I didn't recognize. Most of the gents there at the reunion made me feel much better about my life choices, just because no one seemed to have matured at all. I met Jerame, who'd been Randy's best friend in school, and his wife Shaina. That part was a little odd. I was stoned, and not that I'm ever shy about events in my life, but I was likely unusually open with details in that conversation. Turns out she's very, very religious, but she was also tipsy, kept saying God wanted us to meet, and we got along just fine. Swapped numbers, even, and we'll see each other again. I'm not totally sure what she thinks of me, though I'm really more curious how she ended up with Jerame. I didn't know him terribly well, but Randy was the first person I ever heard talking about poppers. I brought some with me, though I didn't care for the music, so I didn't use them. I managed to send the PMJ cover of "I Want It That Way" to Jen when the Backstreet Boys came on the radio. I'm goal oriented.

Julian got along famously with Andi, and at one point when I thought we were leaving, we were just heading outside to smoke on the other side of the building next to her. Not really sure what all they talked about all night, but I'm glad he had fun, and I'm glad we went. We were going to go to Redwing after, stopped home to change, but when we found parking, we learned that Redwing requires proof of vaccination for entry. Understandable, understandable, yes it's perfectly understandable, given the anti-vax fools who lie. I'm a little surprised they haven't come out with counterfeit vax cards yet. It was about 11:30, so we just headed home.
