Just Playing

I left my phone in the living room to make sure I physically got up when I got up. Julian was very reluctant to wake, and understandably so. I opted not to have coffee and managed to doze a bit more, but I was exhausted all day anyway. I finally managed to start on the laundry, only to have that same machine jam again. They're actually going to send me $1.50. Julian came back for lunch while I was still out fighting with it, though he declined trying to get the machine working. I still made his coffee, helped myself to another cup and more caffeine pills. I'd thought before about using Julian's portable clothes line, and I went ahead and did it this time. Even got to meet the upstairs neighbor as she walked past. Her cat also hates everyone but her. I couldn't take it long enough to get everything fluffed and folded, but at least got the latter. Julian had a rough day at work - his coworker was 4 hours late but still left at her scheduled time instead of staying later and helping in the afternoon, and Murphy's Law messed up an afternoon customer. It took a few hours but we got his phone transferred to the new one and when I mentioned that he'd been going to give me the old one, he transferred the old old one over. Sweet! I might also decide I've gotten enough money out of the Mode phone and just use it as a regular phone, but it's the thought. He went to call his mom again and promised it would only be a 20-30 minute call. I'm sure he had the best of intentions, but the call still took forever. I was tired to begin with and when he finally got back, he played with Gizmo until he hissed. That freaked me out, of course, but more than that, now there's literally nothing they could do to tell him to stop that he'd listen to. He assumes it's all playing. I went to bed shortly after.
