Date Night, Of Sorts

thepnutgalleryI heard Julian's alarm at 6:45, but he gave it an eternal slumber...for the day. He jumped up an hour later and threw on clothes, asked me to take care of the kids, and zipped out. I wanted to have another extremely productive day, but that mostly consisted of taking care of Lady Miss Friday. I'm not complaining. I scoured a bit for vacuums, considered electric mops or whatever they are, bought some fancy one for under $100. Still gotta look for other vape pens, condiments & sauces, calming sprays & treats, costumes & couture...I never run out of things to do, I just forget them.
Julian talked to me after work because he'd overheard me tell Candace something about feeling like his dad. Not that it couldn't be hot, but in this circumstance it was just uncomfortable. I would love to write a thesis on Julian's issues and comparing, contrasting, and analyzing them with my own, but in the instant, I couldn't think of any arrested development examples off the top of my head. I think he still heard some of it, at least. He wanted to do something, and I swear this time for real, we'll start incorporating trips to see Pupple on the weekends. He ran into Terry outside and they made plans to go to the Alibi to shoot pool. He asked me to come and... Sure. We spent a long time in the car while he talked to his mom, but we eventually found them. Julian's temper almost got the best of him. I really look forward to him starting therapy. I couldn't find my hoodie when we left and I felt bad about that at first. I got to hear "How Soon is Now?" just after hitting poppers, as well as Tame Impala's "Less I Know the Better," so I was fine with it, but I was also not upset in the least when it got too cold for me. Julian was fairly tipsy so it made a convenient exit que. He asked for Jack in the Box so I took him there and only then did it occur to me that the Jack in the Box on University is not Burger King. Whoa. He wanted to eat with me so I seasoned some soy slices and they came out pretty awesome. Almost like real food, even. Julian had asked me to spend the night with him and when I finished brushing my teeth, he was already laying in bed expectant...lay. Might've just been up for fucking, even though I'm trying not to while whatever's wrong with my mouth is still wrong. I laid with him for a couple hours but ultimately just really missed the Lady.
