Miscommunications

thepnutgalleryI woke up to a text for a future rendez-vous from a primarily-bottom client by the name of Perry and I was ecstatic to be confident in my affirmation. Thanks, Trimix! Unfortunately, I got confused and thought he was part of a couple at first, but I don't think it ruined things. He also asked about a potential 3 way, either with Julian or another working boy. I've really gotta start socializing in the sex work community again. I guess that mostly just involves hitting boys up to work with me. The client asked about price, I let him know I try to get the client a discount but couldn't guarantee anything. I don't think Julian likes sex work, and that's why he tries to gouge clients, same way I try to overcharge for an overnight. I think if I can cultivate a little more empathy in him, he'll get that joy of service. Perry asked for a video and I tried to find one of the ones we took from the side, but no luck. And no word from him after I sent it.
I also received a letter from Chase with Enterprise's response. They repeated that Julian had signed the paper and threatened to submit this to a collection agency if Chase doesn't rule in their favor. I'm fine with that, really, as the further the can kicks, the less likely they are to win. Plus they'd been such dicks about this since the beginning. A $450 misunderstanding is clearly a big deal, but maybe not quite as big a deal for a 22 billion dollar/year company. I suppose gouging and bullying is why they're a 22 billion dollar/year company. I'll have to sign mine, and as long as I still have to go into the office, I might as well utilize those resources. And this gives me time to think.
We got word from work they're going to restrict access to the VPN to our specific work hours. I really hope that's not to the minute. They changed the format for the work meetings to vary up the leader. I'll be early next year, today was Omar's day. He spoke about donkey, of course, but even though I have great aural recall, I am definitely not a lecture learner. Kinesthetic is preferred, of course, but I did fine teaching myself straight out of textbooks. I still participated in the post-lecture discussion and didn't feel too lost. Very unusually, I had a hard time focusing in the afternoon. Just had a stumble and doused myself in disappointment over not doing enough. Managed almost all of the eservice anyway and remembered to send the email announcement.
I went out to hang with Julian after work. He'd asked his boss if he could take home an extra chair for me - awwww! But no response yet. I could ask work for one but I don't want to have to bring it back when I go back. More than that, having something I have to return encourages them to bring me back. But it would also be part of a "home office." When I get Lady Miss Friday classified as Emotional Support, it should be no big deal to get Remote as a Reasonable Accommodation. Should be. At some point I'll probably spend the $20-30 to just get a simple chair. An upgrade from the broken folding chair, or even a normal folding chair. Reach for the stars. Julian decided on some horror flick on Netflix, which is fine with me. Not watching it, obviously, just with spending time apart. I meant to journal or do any of the other things I needed at my desktop but couldn't really bring myself to plug in. Tried to repeat last night instead, though there was a brief interruption when my rent check was returned. It was for the wrong amount, but Julian didn't remember the right amount but suggested it was probably for 1595 instead of 1395. I checked back with the landlord and wrote it down (1520) just so I don't lose it again. I laid back down with LMF when that was handled, though I kind of ran out of things to do when I ran out of light. I should set up my moonlights next to my bed again so I can read. Julian asked if I was done journaling at one point. I guess he thought I was going to come out when I was done, though what I'd have done in that hypothetical if the movie was still going is a mystery. I joined him out to watch a new Netflix show called Ginny & Georgia, though he had some other things to take care of interspersed.
