thepnutgalleryI browsed FB in the morning, riposted one of the folks insisting various depression treatments don't work despite the studies, happened on an unfortunate "joke" in one of the Ugh, Men groups. Apparently the new thing on Tindr is to feign interest when a guy hits on you then cuss him out. And I thought I didn't understand straight culture before. Everyone got really mad at me for even inquiring about it, but I at least reported the post itself for using "faggot" before they booted me. FB didn't take it down, but that'll just add to my case for discrimination in the form of uneven enforcement of community standards. "Always look on the briiight, side of life!" Julian's alarm went off for several minutes before I went out to wake him. My sandals were in the sink and a few other things moved around. I have no idea how he wants me to handle that. I made his coffee, he got ready and mentioned he'd pick up some litter on his way home. I'd completely forgotten, but the Chewy site said it expected delivery today, FedEx had said tomorrow. I checked again, hoping it was updated on one or both, and success! Today. Hooked up the diffuser in Lady Miss Friday's room even though I'd initially intended to leave it out with the boys. And I just discovered as I write this that I put it on upside down. Oh, Squeak. Kris called out at work, so I used the time I would have spent doing my eservice doing hers. I think I got everything done by the end of my shift. Even better, I got a potential client for Tuesday. He seemed very sweet, he just needed me to host. I'm glad I already started working on that. Even better, Tuesdays are my day in the office, so I'll have to take the day off. If I'm not forced to, I never will. I'm a Time Dragon coiled around my PTO Hoard.
I told Julian about the possible client, he reinforced how cool he is with it, but I'm not sure if he doth nonopposition too much or my mind is just playing tricks on me. We listened to music and he's a huge Bjork fan, particularly Hunter & Bachelorette. So many memories there, from awkward ones with Meeker to channeling Hunter Bjork during Trixie. More than that, though, I saw more from Bjork in her performance than I did before. Man, I wish I'd been able to see it then. Better late than never. He congratulated me on being sober (from booze) for going on 3 weeks now, I think, even as he drank beer. He also talked about ways that he can moderate his drinking, though he still declined to use the breathalyzer. He declined the shot he poured himself & swapped his beer for water, though, so that's definitely progress. When he left later to have dinner with Leo & her partner, I laid down with Lady Miss Friday. I'd hoped that I'd be able to nap with her, but I had too much coffee. It was helpful to lay there, though, both because I feel guilty about locking her in the tower and for Short Rest reasons. Terry came by later and asked for company. He seemed a little tipsy, but I figured if he just needed a body to be there, I could say hi to his dogs. He gave me some cheese puffs that he said were vegan but had "real cheese!" on the cover of the bag. The kids were happy to see me. I went back to Lady Miss Friday and eventually took my melatonin & two sleeping pills, hoping that would be enough to overcome the caffeine. Terry came back around 12:30 or so and told me Julian was drunk at Leo's and needed a ride home. He took my car, though. I talked to him and said I'd send a Lyft. He declined since he had work in the morning and would need the car. Also declined getting a second Lyft in the morning. I agreed to just take a Lyft out there and drive him back in my car. It was a really nice place, tbh, and it was nice to see a more rational Leo. Julian was very squeaked, but fine for the most part. He did get very upset because I'm strictly sleeping with Lady Miss Friday again until either his kids leave or they all suddenly get along.
