My computer was back up, which was great, but I thought about all the time, effort, and resources that went into getting me a patchwork connection for a single day. It would have been more efficient to just give me the day off. I called Mig again, talked to the same gent, and he said we'd hope the third time was the charm. I saw a notification on Messenger from Justin, and I only briefly freaked out that maybe I'd vomited up a bunch of affection and regret and just forgotten. Instead, he'd sent some adorable twins who cover old school video game tracks. This was "Summer Sky" from Secret of Mana. I was never super into that piece, but that is my favorite video game soundtrack I've ever heard, and between their arrangement and nostalgia, found my waters like a 1970's pool party. I'm not totally sure either. I'd been going to post my new Lulu James track, but enjoyed this enough to swap days for them.

Unfortunately, Hawk informed me the GoT deal had been rejected, which just means I keep playing while I appeal. I hate that on the appeal form it notes that even if you did everything, they still don't have to pay you. It's shady AF, and if they decline, I might summon the courage to delete the game. On the plus side, I also got my tax forms for my student loans. Since the order halting payments came in March, I paid $600 towards my student loans last year, which is exactly enough to still get that tax credit. Lady Miss Friday asked for more blanket time, but I was able to slide out from under there so I could keep working.

I'd been seeing a lot of chain posts citing people's exhaustion at... y'know... everything... and actually asking for more mundane things, like pictures of your favorite spoon. Similarly, I saw that a big reason Mandy posts her kids so much is in anticipation of those chain posts. For all that I take 100,000,000 pics of Lady Miss Friday, I've always let my fear of bothering people keep me from posting almost any of them. I did, and Cris posted that she looks just like his cat, Miss Diva Meow Meow. We're going to start a FB group for furkids with fancy names, and I relearned that Cris is a working boy. Apparently the conversation was almost exactly the same as the first time he told me, just like my repeatedly checking on Patrick for Thanksgiving To Go. Some Goldfish Memory traits are more humourous than irritating.

It was after 10:30 when I finally crashed. That is like the witching hour for me these days. Maybe I'll get back to staying up late again someday.
