Define "Enabling"
Jan. 24th, 2021 12:08 amJulian had messaged me around 1, but while I stayed up "late" last night, it definitely was not that late. I heard some squeaking in the living room, but just figured Merryweather was talking. She does that sometimes. Hopped back over to Ralph's in the morning. I needed creamer and a few minor things, but I really did want more peanut butter, too. I weighed my options for the day's plan and figured I could get to Stonesville any time later, but I should at least start at the computer. Around 9, I heard a knock and was surprised to see Sean. He looked fine, said he hadn't done meth in weeks and wanted to pay me back, he just needed... Something. Something about his account having the money, but he lost his phone just after changing all his passwords or some other explanation equally as long as it was complicated and suspicious. We had a hard time figuring out what he needed from me, but I eventually discerned that he was out of gas and locked out. I still have the gas can from when I ran out of fuel and had to buy one.... 15ish years ago. It's one of those insurance-type things. And I can use my AAA like an attached umbrella. As long I'm there, I can cover them with it. While we were still figuring things out, I noticed Houdini's tunnel was broken. Pieces fell together while my world fell apart, and I thought the squeaking I heard earlier must have been my venerable mouse falling to the floor. Obviously, I panicked, but Houdini was safe and sound and sleeping in his strawberry.
I called AAA from Sean's car, and it took a really long time for them to get there, but I got to see a bunch of dogs going for walkies. I wondered what it must be like to be such an effortless and consistent disperser of joy. Got Sean taken care of, though it was a little awkward that the last thing he needed was to borrow my phone to get a police escort to get his stuff back. On the one hand, blah blah blah enabling and boundaries and such, but it's not like I gave him a gun. The police would likely just knock on the family's door, get their side, and figure out what to do next.
There was some event on the Game of Everyone You Love Dies app, and my hoarding paid off. It usually does in video games, tbh. I just needed to get my Keep to Level 15 for the deal, and was a little suspicious when I hit 15 and it didn't pay out. I logged back into both games via my old phone, figuring maybe there was some nonsensical rule about using the same phone, but it still didn't. Decided to sleep on it, then come back if it was still not paying tomorrow. I started trying to hunt down a few of the other tracks I hadn't pounced on from Big Mouth, but kept getting the show's original music instead. I listened to a few more older tracks from the Music Group, as well, found new tracks and new things I like about existing ones.
