What, Am I Wearing A Sign Or Something?
Dec. 20th, 2007 10:06 amHad a good, if unexpected day yesterday. Had the Holiday Lunch, catered by Bar None, and all of my co-workers tried to suggest the veggie burgers they were serving. Ah, well. Went to the gym with Ken after work, and FINALLY got to take the Energizer Core class, except that it was a sub, he was sore, and he played the Missy Elliot song where she samples "I Can't Stand The Rain" for all but the last 10 min. of class. At least he moved into the thumpa-thumpa for the last little bit. While I was there, Ken ran into an old friend of his on the stairmaster. It was an extremely advantageous meeting, but I thought the funniest part was Ken trying to point me out.
That guy: "Where's your boyfriend?"
Ken: "He's in the Energizer class, in the wife-beater and black shorts."
That guy: "Not him!? (referring to a larger member of the class)
Ken: "Nonono! The cute one."
That guy: "Oh, the Bottom."
:-D I think this is hilarious, but I'm always shocked by it when it happens.
Anyway, after the gym, we were supposed to get together with a friend for dinner, but that didn't happen. Instead Ken made us salad and grilled tofu, which I liked much more than he did. Then he played Crack: Lord of Addiction (Gay Jason gave me back our expansion) while I flipped through cookbooks. Ken's not drinking this week, but I had two glasses of wine and a shot of rum. I can't tell you how happy it made me that he didn't say anything about it. Eventually, we turned off the computer layed down for sleep, and got to the fukkin! One of my biggest issues when it's been a while since we've had sex is that there's an awkwardness about doing it. It was super awesome, and there was no weirdness. In retrospect, it may have had something to do with the wine, but it all seemed very natural at the time.
Lovelovelove, and I hope all your weeks are going just as well!
