4 days with the man I love: Priceless. :-)
I got home a little later than I expected to on Wednesday, but Ken didn't say anything about it. This also meant we got in a little later than expected, but that was fine. We went to dinner at a little Italian restaurant across the street from the hotel. They had stuff that could be made vegan, but it was waaay to pricey for spaghetti and marinara. I felt bad, because the reason Ken had waited to eat was so that he could eat with me. On the plus side, the restaurant that the PPK had recommended, Green, was also right across the street. They were already closed by the time we got there, but at least we knew the location. After dinner, we headed out to a bar called BS West, which is normally very quiet, but had a HUGE line. We waited in line for a little while, but ended up tapping out.
Thursday morning, we went down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, though I opted not to eat anything. I could have had the cold cereal, or maybe a banana or something, but I was anticipating eating more later on, so I didn't. Ken's family has more of a Thanksgiving Lunch than dinner, so we went over to his brother's and helped make stuff. His mom had made Sweet Potatoes and Buttnernut Squash, so I had those, tofurkey and some accidentally vegan rolls. I only had 1 plate! Go me! I thought about taking the tofurkey back to the hotel with us, but didn't want to be tempted to eat it later, and Ken said it would be fine in their fridge, so I left it. That night, we went back to BS West, which actually was quiet this time, picked up some gay rags, and then headed out to Charlie's, which is a country bar/afterhours club. Hung out there a while - Ken was tipsy and hungry, but there was no place open. Ended up getting Denny's.
On Friday, we went to the hotel breakfast again. This time the waitress just brought me a box of Raisin Bran and a banana, so I went ahead and ate it. After breakfast, we went to the manmande lake, and to one of the parks there and walked around for a bit. It was nice! We had Green for lunch - FANTASTIC. I had a meatball sub, and it was gooooood. We hung out at the hotel for a while after - thank goodness Ken remembered to bring lube! They have Gardunios (New Mexican food) in Phoenix, so we went there for dinner with his mum. I don't happen to like anything on the menu there, but Ken insisted I get something, and I ended up eating too much. After dinner, we went to Amsterdam and then Charlie's, and we kept running into people we knew! We saw a guy we know from San Diego, a guy who had just moved to Phoenix from Albquerque, and 3 people who live there. The change from country bar to after hours club at Charlie's is so sudden it's almost scary. I got to shake it, before the dance floor got too crowded, though, so I'm not complaining. Went back to Todd's (guy from Albuquerque) place and hung out until 4:30. Didn't make with the nookie or anything, but had a decent enough time.
Woke up late on Saturday (as you might imagine) and went to Green for lunch again. :-) Cuddled in the hotel for a bit, which became fucking very very quickly. After that, Ken went with his family to see "Enchanted" and I studied. Only disappointment was that they threw away my leftover tofurkey. I was not happy about that, but reminded myself that I can always get another. Later in the evening, we met David (guy from SD) and friends at a place called FEZ for dinner - it was supposed to be mediterranean, but it was really just ritzy american food. Actually, there was nothing on the menu that I could eat. This suited me just fine, as I'd had a huge lunch, and their prices were also inflated. After dinner, his friends went home, but David stayed out partying with us. Ended up back at his hotel, and this time did make with the nookie. No new notches in my bedpost, but definitely a good time.
On Sunday, we went back to Ken's brother's place, and he attended his neice's Blessing, while I studied more. Drove home, went straight to Mo's. Jason joined us out, but we didn't stay long. We stopped by Justin's when we got home, though I tapped out of that very quickly. I had been hoping for nookie, but Ken was super tired from the drive, so we just went to bed. Giggling over little nothings.
I was going to update yesterday, but work was soooo absurdly busy I didn't have a chance. I should have studied last night, but Ken's friend Nerissa was in town, so we went to dinner with her, then had friends over for cocktails instead. I had been hoping for nookie again, but I got too drunk by the end of the night. Ah, well.
