I tried to work out at work yesterday, but only got through 20 push-ups and 60 crunches before calling it quits. It makes sense that it would be more difficult, since I'm eating less. That also helps de-mystify the VERY snarky mood I was in the entire day at work. Got home before Ken, which is as it should be. Time enough to sort through the clothes from Casa de Casa (papers today at work), get cleaned up, and start making the kale I got from one of my co-workers. 1st thing on the agenda when he got home: head to the gym. My knees weren't feeling the stairmaster, so I joined Ken on the elliptical. Almost stopped there, too, due to knee pain, but I couldn't stop with him working out next to me. Another 384 calories - again, not bad, given my intake, but I've GOT to remember to bring music.

When Ken was in St. Paul, he ordered a vegetarian dinner from one of the catered affairs, only to have all of the meat eaters salivate in jealousy at his individually prepared plate of asparagus & tomato pesto, vs their mass produced chicken/steak dishes. He decided to share a vegan version with me, and he made that while I did laundry, changed the sheets, etc. I was slightly cranky all night long (residual snark from the morning at work?), but Ken was super. We were waiting for Justin again, but Justin was again over an hour late, so we ate without him. I'm always so happy with myself when I show restraint in regards to food - don't go for that second helping. Don't bake a cake...and then eat it....before it's done cooling...anyway, I've been good for two days now, and it's working. After Justin left, there was still one load of laundry left, and nothing to do but wait for it. We swapped roles, and he was slightly cranky, and I was super, but only until the laundry was done and we layed down together. Then we were both super! Sex was wonderful - we kept thanking each other afterwards. :-D One not so happy thing was that I woke up several times through the night, when I had somehow rolled away. Most of the times, the waking was mutual, but we snuggled back, and went back to sleep each time. I love days where I win!
