I AM THE MOTHER FUCKING WINNER
Nov. 3rd, 2007 04:47 pmWork was busy yesterday, and there was no A/C in the cage so that was pretty damn miserable. Also ended up getting stuck in Sorrento Valley, due to the bomb threat. I was sad that that meant we couldn't drop Ken's car off, but took the opportunity to relax a bit and snag a bite from a local eatery. Ended up getting home a little after 4:30, which isn't bad at all. Layed down with Ken for a bit - he napped, and I tried to, but was not successful. Took him down to Best Buy to get the new Britney album, as well as to Subway so he could pick up some dinner. Dallas came over for a bit, and then the two of them went to Top of the Park. We were supposed to meet up at Rich's around 11, head over to Brass Rail for Stacey Q, and then jet back over to Rich's for more dancing. Marcus also called, and was supposed to meet us at Rich's just after 11. I did my part, and was at Rich's, only slighty tipsy at 11 pm...sadly, no one else was, though. No one from my party, anyway. I had a great time, even while there alone. The music was unspeakably awesome - he played a mix of "If" by Janet Jackson, and I got hit on.
I thought about going home with the guy, but wanted to dance much more than I wanted to punish Ken for ditching me, so I ditched the guy and hopped back on the dance floor. At about 12:45, Marcus showed up, and we danced, and chatted, and danced some more. I called Ken, though he didn't answer - I figured he either couldn't hear his phone, or couldn't answer it because he was hooking up. It proved to be the former, and he and Dallas showed up just a little after one. The four of us had a great time dancing, and then Ken and I went home. He was fairly tipsy, so I tried to catch up with him, since he also said he wasn't tired. We almost got into an argument - he mentioned that he felt bad that he ditched me, I mentioned that I thought about going home with a guy, and he accused me of rubbing it in. Averted disaster, then pretty much just went to bed.
Today, I feel like an absolute rockstar - I drank, went out, wasn't snarky, didn't "liquor" anything, and had a GREAT time dancing. Go me!
