Didn't sleep so good Wednesday night, but that's understandable, I think, given the vodka/diet. Should probably have gone in early, to make up for leaving early that day, but trying to burrow under Ken seemed like a much better idea at the time, in spite of the heat. The weirdest thing is that I wasn't tired at all yesterday at work. My nose was kind of runny, which had to be awkward for my co-workers, but no one said anything. Several people expressed concern over my LJ entry, but everyone was also very good about not pressing the issue.
I had been going to pick up some groceries after work, but I had to stay late at work, so I just went straight home instead. Ken was at Mo's, having a drink with Matthew, so I had a drink at home. Just the one, and I also had a bagel and a little TVP. Talked to Anthony for a bit, and it was nice to not have things be adversarial. I also called and talked to Marcus, and he was going to come over for a bit, but he had misheard the address, and by the time we figured that out, I decided I didn't really want company. A short while after that, I got a call from Ken, who told me that Matthew and Allen were going to come over for Thai food, and then be off to poker, and just wanted to double check the vegan options he was planning before he ordered. Thatta boy!
Matthew and Allen ended up arriving before Ken, so I made us drinks. Matthew was already tipsy, and I don't know the meaning of the word "weak" when it comes to pouring drinks. That boy gets FLIRTY when he's had a few. Ken arrived late enough that we had to hurry to poker - I was thrilled that, even though they correctly assumed that I wouldn't want to play, I was still assumed to be attending. Jason also called, and agreed to meet us there. I spent a little time watching the game, but when Jason arrived, I took him for Mexican and chatting instead, since he was too late to play. We had a good talk, him talking about the GRE's and Colleen, and me talking about the LSAT and other big things.
I had been thinking about heading up to Rocky on Friday, but ended up buying the $17 ticket to see DJ Joe Gauthreaux instead. I get cranky if I don't go out dancing, and I'm feeling sort of attached at the hip with Ken these days. Also bought a new bottle of Vodka of the Gods, even though I'm not going to be drinking as much. Took Ken home a short while after that, and we talked about some stuff while we layed in bed. Not a bad day, everything considered.
