My day got off to a good start. I successfully got out of bed, if a tad bit later than usual, and resisted the urge to call in sick. Couldn't find my wallet in my apartment, but did remember the cake, my groceries, etc, and happened to find close parking at work. My wallet was in my car, and I forgot it there again when I left, but didn't want to go back for it and get someone's hopes up that I was leaving my spot. I discovered that I'd paid for everything on Sunday. Not bank breaking, but damn. Texted a little with McEwen, managed to work out in my office and it wasn't even a struggle.

Suzanne was out, so I was behind yet another day day on my claims while I did paralegal work. But more than that, one of the late appointment orders I sent in didn't have its dismissal notice rescinded. Apparently Div 3, and only Div 3 doesn't do that, they wait for the attorney to ask. Which makes zero sense, freaked the staff attorney out, and could have been avoided if I'd sent the thing in sooner.

I was too upset to go to the birthday party I was one of the hosts for, and didn't really want to hear what people thought of my cake anyway. It was half gone when I was leaving, but whether everyone had a piece and threw it away or had a piece and enjoyed it, I don't know. I stopped at the door on my way home, hesitating over taking the rest of the cake home, and happened to see Linda walking towards me. As I bumbled through my thought process while she walked down the hall towards me, she just kept smiling and repeating "don't worry about it." I decided to not worry about it.

Hit the gym on the way home, powered through a little longer workout than normal, but ran completely out of energy at home. I was too embarrassed at the state of my apartment to ask anyone I wanted to fuck to come over, and didn't have the energy to fuck anyone else (or travel). I messaged McEwen a little - he needs new socks. Lady Miss Friday was happy I spent so much time with her, at least.
