thepnutgalleryHad a hard time getting out of bed, but finally dragged myself out and woke Julian up. He had fucked up his big toe at some point, and there was a bloody spot on the bed. Weirdly, it was up near where his chest or head would be, leading him to suggest that it wasn't from him, because of all the other people with open wounds who crawled into my bed. Okay, I see your point, but there were none last night. Unfortunately, no time to clean that up, or any of my other morning stuff because I'd hit snooze so long.
Finally seemed to be on the mend, which is good. Worked out in the office, stayed after just a little bit, then stopped home before going to the gym because I smelled awful and wanted to shower before going to the gym. I also worked out some at home. I meant to really hit the gym hard, but only managed to get an hour of muscle work in. Fine, I guess, for recovering.
Towards the end of the work day, Julian messaged me that he was quitting his job. Back and forth about how hard he had it, because he works with frat boys in their early 20's, who work less and get paid more, and talk about fucking girls all day long, and how he doesn't have a degree so he can't move very far within the company. This enraged me, given how hard everyone has worked to keep him afloat. Eventually, I talked him down by pointing out we've all worked those jobs, he doesn't need to move up in the company, he just needs to pay his bills while he looks for something else, etc. He *just* called in again, which I guess is good because he was probably drunk. He asked to see me and I said no. It's weird to think of oneself as someone else's reward, but I don't want to reward this kind of behavior, so I declined.
