I alternated sleeping next to Ben and curling up on my side of the bed. The air conditioning was driving my lymph node and throat insane. Or maybe they were already going crazy, and the AC was just a little extra pressure on the gas pedal. He got up for coffee in the morning, and I slept a little better by myself. We went for breakfast when I got up for real – not much I could eat, but nothing I wasn’t expecting. I hit the gym after, which was ok. I’d forgotten my headphones. Ben and I fooled around in the afternoon – he mentioned he wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but wanted me to try to ride him. Clearly, you don’t know who you’re dealing with. There was an LGBT meeting in the afternoon, though it wasn’t even titled anything clever like “Friends of Dorothy.” I guess they’d had a problem of women in walkers hobbling up, because they had a friend named Dorothy. Funny. There were a couple of Republicans, and a couple guys that I thought I’d be ok to play with. One of them, Tim, is a flight attendant, and honestly kind of an ass. 25 years in customer service has soured him on people. The meeting went on much longer than expected, and it was time for dinner. I had pasta with marinara again. It’s good, but I’m eventually going to want something else. Looking at the menu for the next day, there was nothing even veganizable, and the maître d said I could have anything I want. I doubt that, so I asked for a tofu and noodle dish. Back in the room, we fucked again, me exclusively topping. It was tough to get the height right, but it’s amazing how when you actually say what you want in bed, you get it.
