Woke up before my alarm for the 3rd day in a row. Suits me fine. I showered, made a quick breakfast, and hit the bank. I had meant to be there early, so I could be the first one in, but I was paralyzed with indecision. Tim hadn’t asked me for money, but he needed it, and I would be getting back too late to do anything. Should I call him? Should I just deposit it into my checking, so if he does contact me, I can make the transfer while I’m away? I settled on putting some cash in a drawer, and leaving the spare key. If I don’t hear from him, I’m not doing anything. As bad as it would be to get towed to…where? at the end of the month, it’s not like his ship would be repossessed or anything. And I can’t bend over backwards to get people to let me bend over backwards to help them. I picked up Dale, who’d bought himself a matching Pig keychain, and said they were the only two they had. I don’t believe him, and I’m going to go to the store he mentioned and buy them out if they have more. I know a lot of people who should have them.

The drive to LA was surprisingly fast, and we only got lost towards the end, when all the ports get funky. The crowd on the ship would definitely be defined as “older.” I texted Todd – he’d heard his roommate, Paul, tell me the other night, where I had been waiting to hear it from him before saying anything. I hate that I’m going to be gone for two weeks at this point, but he has other, closer friends who will take care of him, and it will be fine. He’s considering going to Palm Springs this weekend, and I had to stamp down on the jealousy rising inside me. Especially when he asked about the play parties at Helios. I met Ben, a handsome, heavy set man with a charming Southern accent, and he gave me a little gift bag, including a small white envelope. Very nice of him. Boarding took longer than expected, but was also easier than expected. They didn’t even look twice at the liquids in my bag. Our room is very nice, with the closet between the beds and the bathrooms. We got settled in – he’d been scared enough by the NO Alcohol policy not to bring any, so was delighted that I’d brought a handle. He’d brought a bunch of vegan snacks, which I loved, and over dinner told me that the DVD he’d been going to bring was a Collector’s Edition of The Last Unicorn that his daughter owns. Again, very, very sweet.

He’d mentioned that I was going to have to be the one to initiate sex, but did throw out some subtle hints here and there. While he showered, I put on Spokes 3, and arranged myself in the same pose as one of my pics. He thought I was asleep when he got out, and suggested we just go to bed. Yeah, no. I mostly topped him, though the position on the bed made it very awkward. I don’t like standing when I fuck, but both of us on the edge of the bed made the whole thing tilt downwards. He seemed happy enough, though neither of us came.
