thepnutgalleryThe older couple I lived with on Meadowgate were having a BBQ/Pool Party in the afternoon. Tim had wanted to just work on his boat, but given that both John and Steven had gone to seminary, opted to come with and meet them instead. Scott and Zach (Dave's son) also showed up. Tim seemed quite smitten with Scott, which might be awkward for me later, but I'll let things develop on their own. I don't think I'd be sad to see them end up together.
Returning home, Tim and I saw a cat in the courtyard. It was a very friendly cat, but I figured it must have been one of the neighbors, so we just went inside. About 15 minutes later, the cat was outside my door, meowing to come in. I obliged, and the cat explored my place before settling in for a nap on my bed. I called the landlord, who said several residents have seen the cat around for a while, but he didn't think it belonged to anybody. Posted an ad to Craigslist. Roommate said he was allergic, so I couldn't really keep it, but I also wasn't about to turn it away. Bought some food, set out a pile of towels I hoped it would use for a litter box.
Big Eric wanted to go to Rich's, but needed me to pick Leo up from The Caliph first. I waited for almost 15 min in front of The Caliph before he finally came out. We stopped in to get stamped, he opted to stay. I saw Jonathan outside, who said he was waiting for Ken...it was an awkward couple of minutes before I figured out he was talking about Kenric, not Meeker. We went back to Big Eric's place, they all had some drinks, then we danced at Rich's. I saw Richard Britton, and finally convinced him that sleeping with me wouldn't change our relationship...unfortunately, I was kind of drunk-sitting my friends, so couldn't go home with him right then. He seemed upset.
I did start drinking back at Big Eric's place, and made out with Kevin Malloy at one point, then with Bill Branney later. I'm a little upset with myself for this, really. Bill has been talking to me online for a while now, vaguely referencing problems he and Kevin have been having. I could feel Kevin setting things up when he made out with me, then "caught" a very drunken Bill making out with me. If I had been less squeaked, I could have maybe done something about all this.
