Called the nice man at 8, everything seemed fine, but then he called back 15 min later to let me know they'd gone with someone else. The rep from the temp agency was confused and not terribly pleased. Tim came over in the afternoon, and I made some phone calls I'd been meaning to make, including activating my new phone and calling the medi-cal people. Phone activation hit a snag when they told me the phone was already associated with an account. No sweat, they'd call me back tomorrow and let me know. Medi-cal also didn't go so well, as apparently when I called them to let them know I couldn't make the appointment on the first, they just canceled it as though you were a presumptive no-show, and you have to apply again. Except that my desktop can't access most gov't sites, so I have to wait for my new power cord to my laptop to arrive. In short, I'm glad I didn't wait until the last minute to try to apply. I have a feeling this will take the full 2 months I've been given.

I was supposed to get together with Matt and Victor. In spite of my protestations that it was really really really not necessary to get a hotel so we could spend the whole night together, they did. Or at least, I think they did, because I never heard from them. I went to the gym, and hadn't heard from anyone else, either. Got there early, walked around. Ran into Alex, Glenn, and JR...I guess JR and Glenn are only sort of broken up now. Wonder what happened with Anthony? I also ran into John Alaniz and his bf. Like most of John's bfs, Kyle isn't really sure what to make of me, but is nice. John encouraged me to have some of his drink, but I wasn't really interested in drinking. I got up on the railing to dance for a while, and accidentally kicked some guy who moved in front of me. Oh, well. Richard Britton stopped me to make out. I think he was intending it to be a briefer stop than it was, but I was having a good time. I saw Matt Kase with his friend Troy, but wasn't in a place to say hi to them. One other girl walked up to me to try to have a vogue-off, but she was really just flailing her arms. Not that there's much difference.

It was just a little after 1:40 when I was ready to go home. I thought about staying longer, but then I remembered that I have never, in the entire time I've been going to Rich's, ever picked someone up at the Sidewalk Sale. A nice big black man stopped me on my way out; he'd been watching me all night (you say stalker, I say flattery), and loved my moves, my energy, my whole persona. Awwww. :-)

Logged on briefly at home, but felt more like going to sleep. All in all, a successful night.
