Woke up, ate some breakfast, started packing for my shoot. I was going to go for a swim and/or workout first, both so I would have that nice post-swim body, and as an excuse to check out the gym in Oceanside, but Tim came over. He was also going to Oceanside, but not until much later. He won a poetry scholarship at school - $250, which is $250 more than he had before, and will look good on his application for USD. I had buzzing and shaving to do before I left, and while I normally prefer to do that alone, it's really more because I feel like when I have guests, I should entertain them than any sense of privacy on my part.
The drive to Oceanside took a little longer than I had initially estimated, but I had planned on getting lost, so it all evened out. Memories of making that drive weekly to get laser treatments flitted back to me. Rob and Vick invited me to Black's with them, but I was already on the road. The shoot went well - the photographer is actually less experienced than me, and trying to get the requisite 4 models in his port so he can get on Model Mayhem. He focused a lot more on my front than my back, which I'm not used to, but I was fairly pleased with the thumbnails he showed me. We fucked, I went home. I got a text from Anthony Johnson, inviting me over for an impromptu pool party at his place. It was just me and him for most of it - he's monogamously dating J.R., who until recently was in a relationship with Glenn Darney. Eventually, we were joined by Robert Lucas and his bf. The bf has a very dry sense of humor, and is just slightly elitist, but I found him hilarious. Both swim with Different Strokes, and I'm going to make it a point to start going to the Saturday meets.
I had missed a call from Tim, and one from Nina - I called them both back, but neither answered. Stopped at the store and picked up some vodka, then headed to the joint birthday party for Anna and Laura. It occurred to me once I got there that I hadn't eaten since having cereal for breakfast. Chatted briefly with Amy J on the nature of "enough," or lack thereof, and then spent most of the night making out with Dewey. It was still early when I left, I but I was also fairly squeaked. Too squeaked to go to Rich's. I've had worse happen.
