Up at 6:30, gave Juno his shot and gave everyone some treats. I really just wanted to give Lady Miss Friday some, but as long as I had the box open, it would have been a dick move to not give them to Julian's kids. Gizmo was outside again when I left so I let him back inside. I have no issues with him spending his nights painting the town red - I don't think there are coyotes or the like around. Apartment management might disagree, of course. I also picked up the mail from yesterday on my way out. Letter from Enterprise's pet collection agency over the $450. I disputed it with them, too, even though I had to repeat myself over and over and eventually they just stopped replying. Them fuckers got nothing, and I'm only too happy to drag this out and cost them as much money as they want to throw away.
I Lyfted to work and made it on time, even remembered to bring my jar of coffee. We ran out of Splenda at the office so I walked over to 7-11 to snag some packets from them but they didn't have any sucralose. I'll try their brand some day, but just chugged it instead. Lynelle is now the Tuesday manager on site and Venkat teaches at USD, so they brought Nellie down and she offered to let us meet her when Venkat dropped Lynelle off. Only the Admins, Din, and I were in the office, and I was the only one who went down. More Nellie for me. She got belly rubs, my day and mood were brightened drastically. Julian checked what time his chiropractor appointment was, I reminded him and told him it was in his email, then asked about Kujo's appointment. I didn't hear back so I called Banfield. He missed the appointment, but at least told me so when he did tell me. His paycheck wasn't as much as he thought it would be either and he's somehow broke. His only bills are the $600 he started giving for rent, fuel, beer, and cigarettes. Budgeting would probably be good for me, too, though I'm the opposite end of the spectrum. Despite that, I tried to buy $120 of sugar free sour gum but they were out. I settled on $20 worth instead. We'll see how that goes. What I really need to do is get that Chewy order in. They ship fast but I'm running low on everything for the kids. Julian was still at the chiro when I got out so I ordered another Lyft. Unfortunately, the Lyft driver didn't pick me up. He said he did and still drove someone to my apartment. I ordered another and got home apparently 5 minutes after Julian. I don't know whether to go carless for a while and learn to take the bus or what. The chiro told Julian to get a physical and contact a personal injury attorney, but he's got to get insurance first. I was going through the file cabinet trying to find my car's title when Lady Miss Friday called for me, so off I went. She was just hungry, so I gave her treats on the boy's pillowcase, and even let her see them. Right up until she shifted into attack mode. When she calmed down, I went back to looking. Lots of memories in that cabinet. I found the papers from throughout my addiction - lease terminations, lots and lots and lots of medical forms, and even the divorce papers between Colleen and Dusty. And then I remembered that I had started looking into getting legally adopted by Phyllis when I fell down the rabbit hole. I did eventually find the title, complete with nibbles from Merryweather on the edges, but I have to print the FedEx label to mail it to them. I could have done that at work if I wasn't so preoccupied. Damnit, Squeak! Julian said he'd do it tomorrow at work. He really seemed to step up - took care of the litter boxes, the litter, the recycling, and planned dinner. I don't know what to do here. I was batting divorce around this morning, and I don't know how I feel about him. I know I'm very happy with LMF. He ran low on cigarettes so we hopped over to 7-11 and Ralph's. Ralph's had a couple treats on clearance so I bought those, creamer, Splenda, melatonin, and iron. My beneflex card wouldn't work for the supplements, but I'm going to try to get reimbursed for them anyway. He made burgers, there was just one awkward moment he screamed at Juno for getting underfoot. Juno is a cat. That's kind of their thing....We watched the finale of Lucifer and it was fine. Not stellar, but not terribly disappointing, Only a few plot holes
