Return of the Pat...rick.

I figured Julian would sleep late, it being his Saturday and given how late we stayed up, but I was surprised to see beer cans, cigarettes, and a vape pen outside when I went to take the trash out. Late night, then. He slept until 3ish, and I almost wondered if he'd sleep through Patrick's visit. When he woke, he still seemed out of it, but also couldn't find his glasses. We looked all around but there was no sign of them. I worry that he left those outside as well and someone stepped on or stole them. I messaged Patrick towards 5, he messaged when he got back from the gym that he still needed to grab dinner, then asked if Mike and Michael could join. Bit crowded, but sure, as long as they know the hovel they're coming to. Everyone seemed a little hesitant when they walked in, and for a minute I thought they were going to walk right back out. No one had any idea what the plan for the night would be, and I haven't gotten around to restocking my bar yet so I didn't even have much to offer them. Patrick pulled out Cogno, an underwater exploration game I bought years ago and never played. I bought it because I love underwater themes, but I kind of knew when I bought a children's educational game that it was one of those things I buy not to actually use, but just to know I could. And now I'm remembering the Save the Whales board game that I loved as a child, but I don't even remember where I got it. I want to ask Phyllis, but I think it might have been a gift from Colleen. Phyllis hasn't messaged me since I eviscerated her latest super secret TikTok conspiracy theory saying Biden ruined everything. Cogno was alright, and while the box says ages 7-adult, there were questions that would stump a PhD. I listened to music, of course, huffed poppers, and smoked weed. Patrick asked for snacks so we whipped out the Harvest Snaps and veggie straws. Julian and I stayed up late eating snacks and watching Lucifer, but I blinked and suddenly it was 1:30. I'm fine with that. I told him before that I'd happily take time off from work so he doesn't feel like he has to stay up on the weekend even though he works, but he sent me to bed because he didn't mean to keep me that late.
