Because there weren't enough disruptions in my sleep already, Lady Miss Friday woke me up for a menu change again. When I did finally wake up for real, I did the morning chores and double-checked with Julian that he was calling out today, then clocked in to my job. We had another meeting, though this one was mostly just a TED talk from Brené Brown on BRAVING trust. It's an acronym. https://daretolead.brenebrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/BRAVING.pdf While I'm no Brené Bro, there are gems to be found in everything I think I've heard from her. I suppose I should probably read her books, too. The main gem for me here was Generosity. It's related to situational thinking - you extend the most generous interpretation possible to the intentions, words, and actions of others. I need to go over it all again, because there was something about bassically recognizing that you need to think situationally about yourself, too. I'm great at justification and excuses, I just need to turn them inside.

I was so excited because a panel attorney needed help with their claim and we made an appointment for me to literally walk them through it over the phone. I've always loved working claims, but the possibility that I can get them to claim more, get paid more, and therefore create a stronger case for ADI making more money has me ecstatic. That would also have to wait, though, as the panel attorney had some trouble getting into their profile. I'm working on defaulting to gender neutral language. I've snuck a couple Mx. prefixes in emails and moved almost entirely to "they," unless whoever I'm talking to has communicated their pronouns. Julian slept most of the day but woke up in the afternoon and called his work to give them a little clearer picture. He suggested renting a car from his agency, and while I'd love to assist in him making commission, I thought that was all stuff handled by the insurance agency. I went online to start the claim and gave what information I could. I've been in collisions before, even at fault ones, but that was almost 20 years ago and I didn't even know what was going on then. Surprisingly, none of my collisions on record have been due to substances. His work let him borrow a car for a few days or until this settles, which is awesome. I'm so attracted to companies putting people over profits. At the very end of the day, Kathy sent an email that everything was finalized for my OT, but she wanted to have a meeting on Tuesday before anything becomes official. That actually reduced my anxiety because now I don't have to worry I'll be fired before Tuesday. I think they'd let me give 2 weeks notice, which would let me finish my teeth and get my next prescription, plus give me plenty of time to work on my resume. If ADI was focused on animals instead of criminal defense I'd have been an acolyte ages ago. Whatever happens, I should be okay. At worst, I'll go back to temping.

Julian went to get his keys out of my car and pick up the spare, I was going to mop again but got distracted. Laid down with Lady Miss Friday to wait until he returned. The loaner is an SUV-type thing and he stopped for more beer on the way home. I had another night of charring my throat trying to get stoned. There's no way my tolerance should be jumping this quickly. I'll find that Magic Drug. Julian went out to smoke and drink with Terry, et al, but it was another of those nights I just didn't have it in me to sit at my desk anymore. I alternated laying with Lady Miss Friday and browsing on the couch, and when Julian came back he decided on delivery. Promised it wouldn't be another $70 of Burger King, but while the initial bill from Red House was $50, with all the taxes and fees it came out to nearly $70 again. He got a pizza, "chicken" strips, "cheesy" bread, and a real bbq pork sammich. He was hungry. It was good, though I underestimated the spice level. I at least managed to put away the leftovers instead of gorging on them. Too much.
