Reluctant Rest

I wasn't able to sleep at all, which I guess is still not surprising. Julian's alarm went off in the morning for a while but he did wake up for it. I let him know I'd tried to wake him, he seemed a little off. I guess also understandable, given how late he stayed up to create that scene and how much he drank. Unfortunately, he freaked out when I told him they gave me ecstacy. Said he OD'd on ecstacy before, though the only deaths I've heard from ecstacy were people dehydrating at raves. I'm still trying to figure it all out. He was upset I didn't tell him in advance, upset I did it at all, but I think most of it was just disappointment that I couldn't wake him. Now that I think of it, it was probably similar to how my parents felt when any of our holidays weren't Hallmark. He calmed down eventually and I fucked him. That seemed to fix it.

I laid back down and Seroquel allowed me to sleep for a bit. But when I woke up, my back was completely fucked. Tim called, I grabbed my phone. He said it was probably from my janky chair, and now that I think of it, it was probably that and the Chewy boxes Terry insisted I move ASAP. Told me to see a doc about muscle relaxers. Scripps was closed, even though the web said they were open. Video or evisits were limited to COVID-19 and athlete's foot, so when I did reach someone, they said to call 911. Strange, but okay. The paramedics offered to take me to the hospital, but a pulled back really did not feel like an emergency. The CVS minute clinics might have been an option, but there were none close. Back to bed then. Not much else I could do. D&D was also cancelled. Not the plans I had for the day, but I'm okay.

When I woke up again in the evening, Julian was home. I updated him on my back, he thought it was from ecstacy or "wild sex" with the Drew and Steve. Makes sense. Not the cause, just the suspicion. I explained what happened, he okayed Patrick for game night, and we hopped over to the store. Even remembered to take the 30 lbs Meow Mix bag back. Just bought some necessities and a couple things we'd run out of. I think I've noticed this before, but I don't go through food anywhere near as quickly when I'm not drinking. I also bought his beer because he was a couple bucks short on cash. I didn't think about it at the time but I thought he'd received access to his bank? As soon as I get my debit, I'm going to try to get him to swap to Aspiration. No text from Patrick so we made burgers for dinner and watched "POM" on Netflix. We'd been going to go back to Peacock, but we'd gone through all their commercial content with the first couple seasons on Modern Family and the rest was paid. The movie was fine, I didn't eat much in the way of dinner, but even that worked out perfectly. Julian also wasn't as hungry as he'd though so even though we really only cooked for him, we still had leftovers.
