Maybe it was anemia or something, but I was still exhausted all day. A bunch of technical difficulties, things still not printing, but of course I'm working remotely, so even if I get someone in the office to check and make sure *this* prints, it can happen later.

And on that theme, my wax pen broke or something. Not really sure, tbh, but there was wax residue all over the inside. Maybe I just accidentally dropped some inside? And my last headphones called it quits. I did actually order some Bluetooth ones the other day, figuring most of my issues have been with the aux cord, so if I can just keep track of them, it could actually be very freeing. I can play music from my computer or phone or whatever and go about my day without having to resort to playing music in my head. But since they're not here yet, I did exactly that. I tried to cobble together something with those shitty ones I bought, but they were too shitty. Wouldn't reach my ears from the port and broke when I even tried to put them on. I looked around hoping to find some, but all I could find were some iPhone ones. I finally glanced at the Mode box and it turns out they included a pair! I suppose that makes sense, given that they're a music streaming company, I think, like Pandora. The headphones were cheap and short, but not so cheap and short I couldn't use them, so I'm grateful.

My apartment was getting...shabby. Usual weekly ish cleaning, but the clutter was getting pretty bad, too. I did the dishes and started picking up some, but didn't want to disturb Lady Miss Friday's nap by vacuuming or even opening the door to take out the recycling. I got a call from SDG&E about their discount program. I'd been seeing ads for it, but since I'm not on government assistance (outside of loans and HIV meds), figured I didn't qualify. She asked if I made around 2800/mo. I didn't catch if that was supposed to be gross or net, but I do think I make around that much. So now I'm in the program. They seem to be on board with erring on the side of discounts, so maybe they're getting a kickback from the govt?

Not that it didn't take some doing, but I earned 6,000 points on my phone. At that rate, I'd earn a $20 paypal card/week, but that might accelerate as you get them. I thought about the shmup I'd been rooting for, and all the ads I watched to boost it. It was about 200/day for a couple weeks and I couldn't find any direct quotes on how much that would have made them. But I have at least a vague sense that they'd much rather me drop a single $20 paypal than continue my ad viewing for a full month or two. I did think about doing both, of course, but at least right now I have other things I want to accomplish.

I thought about SWoRN, and how I should have just started with a HappyCow-type site. Literally just an index of businesses that are worker friendly. Maybe have a section where people do offer pro bono or discount services. Certainly would have made a statement and been contemporary. Even that would have been a categorizing nightmare, but if I just hadn't been.... me, I could have asked someone to do that.

Lady Miss Friday let me know I was done at the computer, then tried to burrow under me. I climbed under the covers, she crawled under with me, and I crashed more contentedly than I have in a long time.
