When Am I Gonna Lose You?
Jun. 25th, 2020 03:39 pmI woke up to a text from Sean that he needed to keep my car for a little while longer, which is fine, but I was running out of vodka. I remembered I have an extra handle in my trunk I'd forgotten about, and Sean dropped it off without me even noticing.
I posted my last Moby song for a while, then remembered that on Sunday, a new song by Local Natives had played, featuring Kate Mara, but couldn't focus on it at the time. I re-watched it and it hit me pretty strong. Not as bad as Christina Hendricks in Ghost Inside, but my eyes kept tearing up. I added it to Justin's playlist, confident he hadn't finished listening to all 77 songs yet. I was going to post again, but not only do I try to avoid posting more than once a day there, but I'm also suddenly terrified of running out of material...that isn't even mine. I did send it out to a few individuals. Couldn't wait. In researching the song, I found out they re-recorded Dark Days, but with Sylvan Esso. It's very good, but I think I prefer Nina Persson's version.
We had a Zoom Happy Hour after work, for Show & Tell. I wanted to show Lady Miss Friday, but she was sleeping at the start time. I struggled her her not being there, but I don't want to let that become an unspoken rule for myself. It was less well attended than I thought it would be, but Lady Miss Friday did join, I got to see everyone's pets, and we're going to do it again soon.
Awen, a European vegan gay gent I'd been Friends with a while ago, but he disappeared for a while. He started posting some transphobic nonsense, and the response from him and his fellow transphobes to the mountains of evidence I gave them was "nu-unh." Checkmate? Tim came over later, but didn't stay long.
