Shaky Business

Woke up at 2 to a number of messages. Tim had stopped by, but I was already out by then. Patrick, a guy I'd chatted with for a while, tricked with once, and gotten a very Evan Ruwe sort of vibe from had messaged me, asking how I'd been and noting that he'd Liked my recent pics.....thanks? There were a series of emails from Dave. He couldn't find the video files from today - they weren't on the card. He was getting data retrieval software. He found them. They're corrupt. Apparently when he switched cards, it was in the process of writing the files to the card. You'd think there'd be some sort of warning for that. Dave doesn't need any help beating himself up, and it wouldn't help anything to throw a tantrum anyway, so I suggested we reshoot the first part in a couple weeks - Steven is out of town this weekend, and I'm in show. I'm gonna suggest paying him less, because there's no cumshot involved and he couldn't produce one the first time.

Got to work early, because what the fuck else was I going to do (considered the gym, but nah). Lynelle asked me to cover eservice since Suzanne was out sick....it wasn't until about 30 min later she remembered that Lindsey and I do eservice, not Suzanne. Good Monday to you, too! Tough to get through, especially with the extra work.

I stopped at the thrift store after work, bought some jazz pants and a pastel polo shirt, then stopped at VONS to see if they had a better bottlenose brush cleaner for my hummingbird feeder. Same one as Ralph's. I should've bought it at Ralph's, because that would at least be easier to return if it doesn't fit (spoiler - it doesn't). I guess Smart & Final next? Not only does the brush not fit the feeder, but the feeder itself was covered with ants. Oh summer. I hate you. Taking it down for a day, hoping the ants take a hike.

Tonight was our first full runthrough of the show. I still have no record of Billie Jean - no video, no written notes - I could've/should've taken those myself. It's okay. Bad is also just okay, but that one I have video of, so more confidence in getting. The chorus is still learning the songs, which doesn't bode well, but someone brought their dog, and a young lady on her evening walk stopped by to listen.

We close the show with Shake Your Body, which is our most athletic number, and the one I'm best in, so I get a lot of energy from it. Too much energy to sleep, even having been up for 21 hrs. Nutballs.
