I Refuse To Be Deceived
Jan. 13th, 2013 11:34 amWoke up at 7, wandered back to my place and went back to sleep. Woke up again at 12:15. Stephen's party started at 11, so I guess I'd be fashionably late. Kept thinking about what to bring - a bottle of champagne I already had? Or run to Ralphs or CVS and get a bottle of vodka? Being that it was already so late, and not wanting to miss the party, I opted for the former. Leo texted as I was walking over - they were just getting up, and would be at least another half hour. They can meet me there. The party was mostly straight women, though Taffy was there. I had a couple mimosas, but they weren't really agreeing with me. Alcohol has been very fickle lately. Big Eric and Leo showed up at the front gate, so I went to let them in. That brought back memories. :-) Stephen's party mix was really quite good, and I played DJ for the last 30 min or so. I chatted with a very squeaked Taffy outside, and a very sober Aaron Greenburg inside. When we finally got ready to leave, Taffy was drunk enough to simply not believe statements like "I haven't been drinking." We just smiled and nodded, then agreed to meet them at Mo's.
Immediately on entering, I saw Shelton with Chris Daxon. Mike Denton also came up to us. Small gay world, and everyone was amazed that everyone else knew me. Big Eric and Nikki got a table, so we sat there. Dwayne, who I think is Nick's ex, joined us. Everyone was pretty squeaked. I suddenly thought Kat should meet Aaron Greenberg, so I texted her. She hadn't arrived by the time the party moved on to Babycakes. Shelton needed a ride to his friend's place, so he could trek back up to Oceanside, and I dropped him off before moving to BC. I saw the owner, who still wanted to make out with me, but acknowledged that he'd received but never returned my text. I met a nice young lady named Stacia, who has many of the same relationship issues I do, and her friend Sequoia. Stacia, while nice, is also quite vapid. Sequoia less so. I also ran into Richard Britton - he'd gone scooter shopping with Joe Houghton, and bought a red one. Still chatting with him, Kat walked in with her boyfriend, Davy, so I left to gab with them. Kat's mom, who is a friend of mine on Facebook, had seen all of my posts about doing porn, and was very concerned that someone was taking advantage of her "sweet little boy." Of course, just so she knew the extent of things, she watched them all. :-D Davy's parents have a ranch in Clairemont with a kinkajou named Winky, and a couple of monkeys. The requirements for keeping them keep changing, though, so they're not sure how much longer they'll be able to. The picture of Winky and her mango is adorable, so I sent it to Tim. Kat shares my dual conflicting drives to fail and succeed - it's nice to have a kindred spirit. It was about 9:20, and getting quite cold out, so I walked with them to Rite-Aid, then gave them a ride home.
It had been about an hour and a half since I'd texted Tim, and no response, so I figured he was with a trick. Heading home down 3rd near Will's house, I happened to see what looked like his car. Shaking, I parked mine and looked inside. Messy backseat - yep, his car. Looking in the front seat, I was startled to see his equally startled face looking back at me. I asked what, exactly, he was doing on 3rd ave? Uh...none of your business. Um....I was stood up by a trick. Oh? Which trick? None of your business. We went back and forth, I just stood there trembling. I finally just told him to have a good night, that I was sorry he'd gotten stood up, and went home. Blood pounding in my ears, I meant to drink myself into a stupor, but was too upset. I got a couple more angry texts from Tim, but ignored him. It's all irrelevant at this point. No, who he fucks is none of my business. Who lies to me, though, is absolutely my business, and he's told me repeatedly that he won't/doesn't sleep with Will anymore.
I got hit up by a visiting gent named "SuperHungTop." His pics would certainly suggest that. I'd seen him on the list of visitors, but figured everybody else in San Diego would already be fighting over him. Touched that he hit me up, but it was really too late for both of us. He lives in SF, so he buddy listed me, and we'll try for later. I made a batch of quinoa, but only managed a few mouthfuls. Went to sleep around 10:30.
