thepnutgalleryTrying to figure out my plan for the day, I got a call from Office Team about a "legal" job. Technically, it was for the company's legal dept, but it was just filing. $11/hr, though, so better than I was making before.
Absolutely LOVED my day there. They had soy milk for their cappuccino machine, let me listen to music while I worked, and were very appreciative of my work. I guess they'd had another temp before me, but she took 3 days to get done what I did in a few hours. Go me!
Leaving the building, I chatted with the front desk woman about what a wonderful time I'd had - turns out she's the hiring manager, and is going to try to think of a job for me there.
Nina called when I got home about the vegan potluck with the Crunchy Granola Co-Op. I considered going to the store, but ultimately decided on pasta with sauce again. Makes more, costs less. Had a really good time there, and Rachel took a pic of me with a saucepan on my head at the end.
Nina and I chatted in the car after we dropped her bf off. They're monogamous, he doesn't want to have sex with her. She should break it off, but makes me look downright healthy in the obsessive/jealous department. She started crying in the car just thinking about it. She needs therapy and a good group of friends she doesn't share with her man.
Keith Barton called pretty much as soon as I walked in the door. As always, he wanted to talk politics after. He was actually better than he was the last time, but then he kept ranting about how Obama is HOSTILE TOWARDS BUSINESS. I was basically pushing him into the shower and out the door by the time he was done. Long day, but a good one.
