thepnutgalleryRobert O'Leary was in town, as was Chris from PS, so we made plans to go out in the evening. I got called in to work for a couple hours, so told the boys I would meet them later. I was pretty desperately in need of work, for me. Most anyone else would still be comfortable. Headed in to Mo's, which was PACKED, saw Justin, Brandon, and Cobus, then got a text that Robert and Stephen were at Peet's instead. Waste of $2 cover, but whatever. We chatted outside Peet's for a while, then headed to #1 on Fifth to wait. Chris had been stood up by a trick, which he was okay with, but he needed to shower and whatnot before he joined us. No one else was drinking anything, so I ordered a vodka diet....in retrospect, I suppose I could have had just a diet. There will be a time when I don't think about the $6 I spent there. Maybe.
Chris showed up, and we all had a great time chatting. I did feel some chemistry between Stephen and me, and that got awkward (for me) when Chris showed up. Chris also mentioned that he wanted to spank Tommy Macy, which earned him a flat look. I don't care how long it's been since I introduced them. I introduced them, and I'm not his pimp.
Walking back to my car from there, I ran into Justin, Brandon, and now Stephen getting ready to head to Rich's. Briefly thought about declining, but ultimately went along. Drove them over, paid Brandon's cover. He's bought me enough drinks, I can pay his damn cover. Drunk Justin disappeared almost immediately. I chatted with a number of boys through the night, and danced with Alan Edgerton and the very drunk and affectionate Ian Vernon. I'm flabbergasted by Ian. He's a twink, but has none of the self-possessed ego of most twinks.
Eventually ended up outside with Brandon, where the conversation turned to topping, and our experiences with it. I felt bad - we'd apparently had this discussion at two different parties, but at both parties, it was late enough in the evening that I didn't remember. Also ran into Ed, one of the newly poz boys I've been talking to, and a couple different folks who pointed out my fly was down/broken.
I hadn't had anything to drink since #1 on Fifth, so I drove Ed and his cousin back to his place, then gave Brandon a ride home. All considered, it was a wonderful night.
