Sunday - Woke up around 8, ate a cookie, and checked my e-mail and the like. Ken woke up around 9, and was originally content to sit behind me and read, but he eventually decided he was jealous of my computer, and wanted my attention. We played some gamecube - Super Smash Bros. Melee, which would have been much easier if we'd understood the objective, or the controls. We had fun though, which was the point. Todd and Leo got up around 11(?), and we all got ready and headed out. The boys stopped for gas and food at the local gas and food place. Even though I didn't ask for anything, Ken got me a bean burrito, 'cause he's sweet like that. It was tasty, but I seemed to have a sore throat, or else a sore at the back of my throat, and it burned like a mother-fucker every time I swallowed. It was a largely uneventful trip - I rationed my computer use, and napped at one point. We stopped at Date Land for shakes for the boys, and I got to sample several varieties of dates. I requested that we stop in Yuma at the Nature's Express there, but it was 4 miles from the freeway, so no-go. We did stop for gas there, though, and Leo had an encounter with a grumpy local. Finally made it home, where unpacking took much less time than I would have imagined, and then we went out to Mo's. The boys split a salad, and got a side of sweet potato fries...I ate some of them, but not enough. Some guy that Ken used to know said hello to us, and his friend Dave apparently knows Brian Wood, so I went to connect them. One big happy family, Ken asked me to get him some more diet coke for his drink, and I made even more new friends on the way. I love being social. We headed over to Rich's after that, but it was fairly dead, so we left after not very long. Ken was exhausted when we got home, and apparently Leo and I did another shot after he went to bed. Not a bad night.
