I Feel So Betrayed....

Looking about on 123greetings.com, and I found Cake Day. I was a little amazed at this, as after this past year's National Pie Day, I immediately went looking for additional excuses to stuff myself silly and couldn't find any. Then, in the midst of expressing my love of culinary holidays in physical terms, I see a link for Pie Day.

"How odd!" I think to myself, "Everyone know's National Pie Day isn't until January 23rd. What are they doing with an advertisement for it so soon?" I click the link, and apparently December 1 is Pie Day. Not National Pie Day, just Pie Day. I can find no references for this imposter, save for a couple of websites that list it, but fail to explain it. I e-mailed 123greetings, and may also e-mail the National Pie Council.

Now that I think of it, I really love pastry crust. I think I want a recipe for an edible costume. I'd imagine that it'd have to be baked onto me, and I can't think of any way to do that except for a steam room (minus the steam). Or to wait in my car on a hot day with the windows rolled up. But it would take a really long time. Totally worth it, though. I would, of course, shower just before hand, but I think the necessary heat to bake it would make me sweat, which would make it less than appetizing to eat.

You could create the costume in pieces and then strap it on like full plate armor. (Fortunately, I know you're a D&D player, so you'll know exactly what I mean!) I imagine it wouldn't be THAT hard to make a pastry breastplate...
