Death Warmed Up, Cooled Off
Dec. 20th, 2016 01:06 pmWoke up to a sore throat. Not good. And a client who requested abandonment was supposed to get an attorney adviser before the record came in, because it complicates things once we get the record. Damn. Drank tea at work all day, finally got on Instagram. I don't really get the point of it, and I doubt I'll post much there, but maybe.
Co-worker Sonya has had my copy of Paris is Burning for about 6 months and still hasn't watched, and I have other people I need to show it to, so I asked her to return it. I did happen to find a version on Youtube, so I sent her the link.
When I finally got home, I made more broth, laid on the couch with Lady Miss Friday. Paul had asked me for a ride to the pharmacy earlier in the day, but either found a place that delivers or someone else to take him sooner. With the shoot tomorrow, I still really really had to get to Target for iron-on velcro, so I dragged myself out. Of course, this is the week before Christmas, so traffic getting there was atrocious. Bundled up in my hoody as I was, Target employees kept standing near me. I should probably have gone to Michael's, but I was there and tired and Michael's was on the other side of town, so I bought the only velcro they had, made for attaching wall hangings.
That was about all I could do, and I even sat in my car for a bit mustering the energy to drive home. Laid back down with Lady Miss Friday, went to bed early, but couldn't sleep. Tossing and turning until well after 2 am, I finally emailed my boss that I'd be in late the tomorrow.
