Lights, Camera
Sep. 21st, 2012 01:10 pmWoke up early, so I didn't feel so bad about taking the day off. Really, I didn't feel bad at all, since no one had talked to me about the length of the temp gig. Tim was taking me to the airport, and requested I leave work at 10, instead of 10:30 so he'd have more time with me before I left. I thought this was sweet, but also seem to remember getting into some sort of argument with him instead, and he was late. He wanted to stop at the bagel shop, but still got me to the airport on time.
Al had said he lived about 15 min from the airport...I had figured he lived in the city. My bad for not asking, as he lives in Oakland. SF has great public transport, but it closes down at midnight. We got settled in - their place has a large number of pastels - and headed into the city. Treasure Island was having an open house, and their new model, John Dahl was on display. It wasn't a very busy event - only one other person showed up. I mostly chatted with their PR guy, and petted the dog, Ohaia. Al turned it into an impromptu photo shoot, and even asked me to take my shirt off and pose. Lord knows I'm happy enough to get naked for the camera, but this was really Mr. Dahl's spotlight, and I would only be joining him if he invited me. He has a day job doing costume design for the SF Opera, which Chip found delightful.
We traipsed back to Al's place, had dinner at a not very good Thai place, and called it a night. Chip put his arms around me, but I wasn't feeling the sex, so we just slept.
