I had intended to take Sean out to breakfast as a thank you for letting me stay with him, so we went to Hugo's. I was delighted to see bunches of Vegan options on the menu, as well as a number of dishes that were expressly veganizable. I opted for the chilaquiles; the original came with sausage, cheese and sour cream, and I figured the vegan version would have vegan versions of these. I'm not sure if the waitress was just clueless, or this really is veganizing for them, but I got tofu and soggy chips. I like tofu and soggy chips, but it felt a little disingenuous to just drop out most of the ingredients to "veganize" the dish. Sean ambushed the waitress with a $100 bill before the check could even come out. I completely forgot he still owed me $50 for his phone years ago. He doesn't have it, but he took me out to breakfast...to cover the interest? I dunno.

We walked around the farmer's market - he loves flowers. I bought his $6 flowers. I suppose that's about what I thought my breakfast was worth. Hopped over to the airport just in time. Chip hadn't checked in for his flight yet, and upgraded us to Economy Plus, for an extra $200/person. I tried to stress that this wasn't necessary, but he wanted to ensure we sat together. The flight was long and uncomfortable. I tried to sleep, but only managed for about an hour or two, even with a sleeping pill. Chip and I chatted; I told him about my Saturday in LA, and I think he politely requested I tell him only generally about my exploits, or only about a rational person's number of sex partners. I also tried to learn some Dutch, but the program they had was terrible. Then I tried watching some Dutch TV with English subtitles. I can't quite get the hang of it; it's like an odd mix of German, Swedish, and telepathy, because they seem to gloss over letters and words at random. Finally said "fuck it" and watched a bunch of sitcoms. 30 Rock has gone downhill, Community is just as good as it ever was, Parks & Rec seems okay, the New Girl isn't anywhere near as good as I've heard.
